Since opening our doors in 2004, we have served hundreds of students ages two and up from the tri-cities and surrounding areas. We offer quality dance instruction taught by a degree certified faculty and pride ourselves in teaching classes that are encouraging and challenging, while supporting each student in a fun, positive, loving, and rewarding atmosphere!  Our experienced staff instructs classes in beginning through advanced and competition levels. We offer audition preparation for interested dancers who study ballet for the Governors School and have many students make it into their program. We also have graduating seniors pursue careers in dance on the college and professional level.  To ensure our students receive a proper dance education, our teachers train in NYC throughout the year.  Our studio is also a current member of the professional organization Dance Educators of America. We offer classes in tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, baton, ballet, pointe, contemporary and creative movement for kids. Our dance curriculum includes recreational dance classes for those who are looking for a fun thing to do while meeting the needs of dancers who audition for our competition team, AVEC Movement, which requires extra time and a more intense schedule and class structure.  Many of our students have attended the Appomattox Regional Governors School, continued their dance education at the college and post college level and have performed with professional dance companies locally and in NYC. Our two studios located within the building have professionally installed sprung dance floors which help to prevent shin splints, stress fractures and joint damage. We offer our students opportunities to perform in the community and in our annual spring showcase performance where students get the opportunity to showcase their work on stage in full costume!  Gotta DANCE! School of Performing Arts has two spacious lobbies which provide a place for parents to wait while their dancer is in class.  We provide a viewing door and schedule parent observation opportunities throughout our dance season. Thank you for your interest in Gotta DANCE!
